Something For The Weekend - Win an Xbox One With Pringles Xtra

Hello everyone!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Nothing new for me to report unfortunately, but it has been a super-busy week (as always this time of year!).  This week seems to have gone in a blur of parents’ consultations, tae kwon do lessons, swimming lessons, homework and work!  Don’t feel like I have comped as much as I should, but I do feel that other areas of my life are coming together in a nice organised manner, such as Christmas shopping and buying decorations.  How is your month going, are you managing to keep up with the mass of competitions that seem to be available at the moment?

My Christmas snack cupboards and bags are filling up nicely now – got lots of crisps, savouries, biscuits, chocolates and cakes all nicely hidden away from prying little eyes just waiting to be brought out at the opportune moments.  I still have a few things to get though and things always need topping up, so I will be looking out for promotional tubes of Pringles Xtra crisps this weekend, so I can take part in their current on-pack promotion.  Pick up a promotional pack of the tasty extra strong crisps and you could be winning a brand new Xbox One or an Xbox One game – they are giving away weekly prizes until the promotion ends.  Enter your unique code online at https://getxtra.pringles.com/uk/ and you will be entered into the weekly draw for one of the fantastic state-of-the-art consoles, or one of the weekly games to play on one.  Each code can only be used once, you may only win one of the main prizes but you can enter to win one of the weekly game prizes every week if you like.  Everyone that enters will receive exclusive Pringles Xbox content to access in game, and the promotion runs all the way up to 23:59 on 30th June 2016, so plenty of time to get your hands on a new piece of gaming equipment or some games for the family to play.

If you are looking to win a nice new gaming device this Christmas, here are some other great competitions for you to try this weekend:

  • If you aren’t lucky enough to have won an Xbox One yet with the Pringles on-pack why not increase your chances of winning one by entering the XFM competition too!  In association with the new game Rise of the Tomb Raider they are giving away an awesome bundle including an Xbox One console, four games and a 12 month Xbox Live subscription – perfect!  To enter you need to register with or log in at the website and to answer the question (Our advice – Croft) by the closing date of 23:59 tonight (13th November 2015) so you need to be quick for this one.
  • If you like to game from your PC rather than a console, maybe you would like to upgrade some of your hardware to improve your gaming experience.  If that’s the case then Hexus has a great competition for you as they are offering you the chance to win one of three MSI gaming hardware bundles including a motherboard and graphics card.  To be in with a chance of winning you need to answer the question (Our advice – Arsenal) by the closing date of 26th November 2015.
  • Would you like to bag yourself a shiny new PS4 console plus a copy of the new game The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure?  Absolute Radio is giving away this great prize, perfect for game lovers everywhere and all you have to do to enter your email address at the website – you can enter once every day until the competition closes on 27th November 2015.
  • If you have an original Wii games console chances are you are now ready for an upgrade and a change – how about a new Wii u Console instead?  The Star Magazine has one to give away in their latest online prize draw, so head over to the website and enter you details before the closing date of 18:00 on 30th November 2015 and you could be upgrading your gaming soon.

Happy weekend comping and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Hi Kirsty
Trying to get everything done but keep running out of money! The Fright Night Halloweeen hamper was delivered yesterday so that's ready to be wrapped up for Christmas for my brother. Also a heat changing colour mug from Mitsubishi Electric on Twitter - 500 of those to give away and the kids were fascinated after watching what happened when the hot water was put into the mug. So was I , actually.
So far we are having sprouts and after eight mints for Christmas dinner but I have won an Aunt Bessie's hamper so hopefully that will be here before Christmas and that will be some more food.
Christmas church fayre yesterday, concerts with my choir this week - including the lovely one in aid of Marie Curie at Newcastle Cathedral today and school fairs.
Plans for carols and cake round the piano next Saturday afternoon, need to be practising for that. We may have to bake something - fortunately the fridge is full of Anchor butter! Not much else, though.
I keep trying to bit a bit of comping it - but it just doesn't happen!

Hi Kathryn so sorry for the delay, been a hectic few weeks! Sounds like you have had some nice pressie prizes turn up this month, which is always handy. I know the feeling about comping, Christmas and work getting in the way at the moment, not that I really mind. I have managed to win a few bits including a few little advents, but I am hoping that I will get a bit more done when the kids break up on Friday. If we don't speak before I wish you and the family a lovely Christmas and a very Lucky New Year xxx

I'm a bit late finding it......but thanks for the advice! Great excuse to keep Pringle-ing!

Hi Kirsty
Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year - and those little advent wins did appear for you, hopefully. I only managed one day advent-ing and one prize that never actually showed up of a 'That's not my....' bundle from Butlins.
Is it a Happy New Year prize-wise? I have won a couple of books, a £25 cheque from DC Thomson arrived the other day (not sure if My Weekly or Weekly News as it doesn't say) and the best prize is from Hotter Shoes on twitter - from their h92 range as you had to say what it was lighter than. So I put 'lighter than a feather in the sun - I really want those shoes with the strap across, been looking for some for YEARS!" Lo and behold, a Congratulations notification and once we had sorted out the 'follows' as they weren't following me, a DM conversation and those said shoes with the strap across should be arriving very soon.
Got a bit fed up of entering loads of text comps as those supermarket vouchers would have been SO handy - but no wins there for me.
And how about you, love? Are you winning?
Love Kathryn xx

Hi Kathryn, happy new year and great to hear from you! Did you chase the Butlins win that never showed up? Advents weren't too bad for me as we won some nice bits including a £50 Pizza Express voucher (which we are using for our 6yo birthday in Feb), a Paultons Park ticket, a Star Wars cushion and a few other bits and bobs - about 12 in December so not too bad considering we were working full time. January has been a slow start but won a few bits including a New South Wales hamper from Expedia and a case of 9Bars - yum! Your tie breaker win sounds fab, well done you!! January is a hard month to get the comping mojo going isn't it, or I find anyway, but feel like I am getting there now. As I say our youngest turns 6 on Monday so busy planning treats and a party. Other than that we are working hard and getting back into after school commitments etc - still trying to win a nice holiday for the family, or at very least a weekend away. Do you have a holiday planned for this year? Anyway lovely to hear form you, look forward to hearing how the next few weeks of coming goes! Take care Kirsty xx

Hi Kirsty
Funny you should mention my advent prize; it turned up today! A That's Not My Owl book with the different textures plus a height chart and a That's Not My....Taller and Shorter book. I thought my 2 would be too big for these at 8 and 11 but no, they were enchanted. The height chart was an especially big hit as it's 6 ft and much better than those tiny Kinder ones.
You do rather well for vouchers, well done on Pizza Express. I always hope to win vouchers but it's usually books, lol.
Spent this week entering the First News 500 prizes giveaway for Rachel - but again, mostly books. Hopefully we'll get something, though, book or better.
I did really well winning 2 holidays last year, San Francisco and cash which paid for a trip to Amsterdam so doubt I will top that but keep trying. We are probably off to Lourdes at Easter, Rachel in a special group and neither she nor Adam know that we are also going independently of the group - it's her birthday surprise.
My husband used to volunteer with HCPT and has always wanted me to go and I have resisted; then my friend's husband died and I just thought, what if that was him, he's always wanted me to go and I never went? So we're going.
More bad news this morning; my best friend and her partner came by this morning (highly unusual) to tell me that our other friend had been found dead in her bathroom by the police.
Sometimes comping can help if I just sit and do it and try not to think about anything else, it can be quite comforting to get lost in, the prizes are just a bonus.
I want to do more walking this year - although I did cycle a bit last year as that's what my husband likes, I have concluded that I prefer walking - so hopefully win some walking gear.
I'll just tell him I won the holiday to San Francisco last year especially so that we could cycle the Golden Gate Bridge and I've done it now.
Would really love a break - or even a night - away. Thought this especially when both children decided they just had to come in and out and talk to me while I was in the shower this morning!
Happy comping and I hope february brings some nice (sur)prizes fro both of us

Rachel off to Lourdes, rest of us on our way into London. Tried hard to win some London things but nothing. Anyway I would rather Rachel shared any prize.
Have won a single night away at Grange over Sands, dinner, bed and breakfast so oh and I looking forward to taking that in May
How was your prize trip, did you enjoy it?
Won a few things on Walkers and a drawstring bag on Peperami yesterday. Still trying on kettle chips but no luck there yet.
Cadbury World family ticket and 2 tix for Royal Yacht Britannia currently nestling in the voucher box, planning to do the latter with my sister some time before September .
How are you doing, prize wise and generally? Love Kathryn xx
