Success Stories Round-up - October 2014

Hello again compers!  Well, here we are in November - that came around quick didn’t it!  Seems like only 5 minutes ago the kids were starting back at school, and here we are the other side of the first half term!  I feel like I am properly into my comping groove now, and getting myself nicely organised for the impending comp-fest that is December and the advents!  Do you enter the advent competitions, or do you stick to your regular comps during the festive season.  Whichever you prefer, there is always an influx of lovely prize to be won, and I for one like to get organised for it.  October was pretty good prize-wise for me – managed to win 22 prizes totalling about £480 in value, so not too shabby.  My best win was probably £100 of stationery set from Smiggle with the Closer click to wins – not that it has arrived yet!  I also managed to win a £50 Debenhams voucher in an instant win, which came in very handy when it came to buying the girls’ winter boots and a coat for the eldest.  Love it when wins come in just at the right time.

There really are too many lovely prize wins to list this month, and it was very hard to whittle them down to just a short list of some of my favourites.  I think though my pick of random prizes won last month has to be the life-size cardboard cut-out won by one of our lucky members, from the Carling Facebook comp.  Not even sure what one does with something like that, but it will certainly be a talking point!

My obvious favourite win this month has to be the amazing, once in a lifetime trip for 2 to New York, won by one of our amazing members.  The trip was offered in the Universal Pictures DVD sleeve comp, and includes premium economy flights for 2, 4 nights 5* accommodation, Empire State Building tickets, dinner and $1,000 spending money.  We all dream of winning big like this, many huge congratulations on the fabulous win!

What is on your Wish List at the moment?  I am still trying to get ahead for Christmas, so trying to win some Amazon and Marks & Spencer vouchers, toys, Christmas decorations and hampers.  My main wish at the moment though is to win us either a trip to Lapland, New York or a European Christmas market break.  I am dreaming big and am ever hopeful of that elusive holiday win – never had one yet in 15 years of comping!
