Getting the best out of Windex
For the best results, search one word or subject at a time and don't be too detailed... a search for COFFEE will deliver more results, and thus more ideas, than - say - FAIRTRADE COFFEE.
And, staying with the COFFEE example, although one of our 'Works in Progress' is to add keywords to the data we inherited, a search for just COFFEE might miss a coffee-related slogan where the actual word 'coffee' wasn't used. So, to deliver the best results try to think of as many related words and brand names as you can and search for these one at a time - e.g. COFFEE, NESCAFE, KENCO etc.
Please bear in mind that, at the moment, a search for a shorter word - for example, TEA - will return seemingly irrelevant results such as TEAm and sTEAk. Once we've added tags and keywords, you'll be able to search the database in a more targetted way. But until then, don't necessarily dismiss your results out of hand as they could give you an idea for a pun or play on words.... and remember that by also searching for individual tea brands such as TETLEY or TYPHOO, you can narrow your search.
You'll soon get used to searching the Windex in the way that suits you best, and as we enhance the database with tags, keywords and - of course - tens of thousands of new-to-Windex extra slogans over the coming weeks and months, your Search requests will start to return more and more relevant results.
