General Terms & Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) should be read in conjunction with any specific instructions and additional T&Cs that may be published in relation to an individual competition, prize draw or promotion.

Please see individual competitions for the published closing date.

Unless otherwise stated, entries must be made on any official entry form (online and/or postal) provided.

Damaged, defaced, corrupted, illegible or copied entry forms will not be accepted.

Unless otherwise stated, only one entry per Compers News member will be allowed per competition.

The publisher reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes described for a similar item of equivalent or greater value. Unless otherwise stated, no cash alternative will be offered.

The publisher’s decision is final and binding for every puzzle and/or competition. No correspondence will be entered into in relation to any competition.

The publisher cannot accept responsibility for any entries lost, delayed or damaged in the post, or not transmitted correctly online. Proof of posting or online entry is not proof of delivery.

Entries with insufficient postage will not be accepted.

The publisher, its employees, and their families are excluded from participating in Compers News puzzles and competitions.

Except where otherwise stated, all correct entries will be subject to a random draw to determine the winners. In the case of a skill competition, entries will be judged using the published criteria.

All winners will be notified and should receive their prizes within 8 weeks of notification.

A list of winners and/or answers will be available on request from the publisher, on receipt of a stamped addressed envelope within 6 weeks of the closing date. Winners details will also be published in a future issue of Compers News.

Compers News competition and reader-contribution prize winners may be required to take part in unpaid promotional related publicity. We also reserve the right to republish competition entries, letters, testimonials and photographs as required (including, but not limited to, all Accolade publications, websites, social media pages and marketing material) at our sole discretion and without further payment being made. All contributions to Compers News including competition entries, letters and photographs become the property of Accolade Publishing Ltd.
