Something For The Weekend - Win Brunch in Paris with Lea & Perrins

Hello again compers!  How has your week been, any nice wins to report?  Another couple of wins here since last time – a set of Child’s Farm children’s hair products, won in their “perfect ponytail” photo comp on Facebook, and a bottle of red wine from a simple like & share Facebook comp.  Can you believe we are halfway through November already?  Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?  Pretty much done here, bar a few stocking fillers and little treats for the elf to bring with him on 1st December.  Done pretty well with being organised this year, and have won a few little bits to add to my girls’ pressie stash too.  The advents are coming though, and I am now trying to get ready for that too.  Do you manage to fit in lots of comping in amongst your Christmas preparations and activities?  I always find it quite a challenge to juggle work, school Christmas activities, family weekend activities visiting family and friends AND getting some comping in!  Need a few more hours in the day I think!

As I have mentioned before, the one kind of competition prize that has so far eluded me is a holiday – of any sort!  I enter for family holidays, weekends away and overnight stays, but have NEVER won even a single night away!  Granted, I can’t enter some as we have no local family and babysitting is an expensive extra to add on when you have won a prize.  But, saying that, I would have hoped that I could have grabbed at least one holiday related prize by now - I live in hope!  During this weekend’s shopping trip I will be buying a few bottles of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, so that I can have a go at entering their fantastic current competition to win 1 of 10 Brunch in Paris weekends away.  By  purchasing a promotional bottle and entering the unique code online at http://www.leaandperrins.co.uk/instantwin you have the chance of winning an overnight stay in Paris with Eurostar tickets, taxi transfers, brunch for 2, a Bloody Mary each in a bar and 100 spending money as their top prize.  They are also offering 200 Luxury Bloody Mary hampers containing chopping board, vegetable knife, glasses, vodka and all the trimmings needed to make the perfect Bloody Mary.  Also on offer are 2,000 branded Bloody Mary glasses.  I would love to win the brunch weekend away, but would happily settle with a new branded glass – they sound fab!  The promotion runs until 12 noon on 6th April 2015, so there is plenty of time to get your unique codes entered.

If a weekend away is on your Comping Wish List too, here are a few other great comps to enter this weekend:

  • One of the places I most want to win a city break for 2 Is London.  I have already entered the great competition being offered by River Island, and so should you!  In association with the movie The Fault In Our Stars you could be winning 2 nights hotel accommodation in London, and a choice of exciting activities including a helicopter flight over the city, a high speed RIB ride or tickets to a music gig.  To enter simply submit your details online by 16:00 on 17th November 2014 for a chance of winning this fantastic weekend break.
  • Fancy a relaxing weekend away with your bestie, or your other half?  How about an active spa and fitness break, like the one being offered by the Stylist website!  The winner and a guest will enjoy an overnight stay with full use of the spa facilities, a spa treatment each and £150 to spend in the spa and fitness shop – all this plus a year’s supply of Sure Crystal Invisible Black & White Diamond anti-perspirant.  To enter answer the question online (Our advice - Crystal Invisible Black & White Diamond) by Midnight on 18th November 2014, and you and a friend could be sat enjoying a sauna very soon!
  • How does a 2 night stay at the beautiful Four Pillars hotel that is Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire sound, pretty good right?  The winner and their companion will enjoy a stay in the glorious Victorian splendour of the hotel, surrounded by 30 acres of parkland, with dinner and breakfast included too!  To enter this competition being offered by BBC Countryfile Magazine, register or log into the site and answer the question (Our advice – Grade II) by midnight on 21st November 2014 – I have stayed at this hotel, and this is really a competition you want to win!
  • How about a long weekend a bit farther afield?  Ragu are giving away a fabulous 3 night family break to New York including accommodation and flights from London, to promote their new pour over sauces.  Entry is simple, as all you have to do is enter your details online by midnight on 27th November 2014, so give it a go!
  • Are you or someone you know a big golf fan?  Would you like to win a fantastic golfing trip to the St Mellion International Resort in Cornwall?  Of course you would!  The prize being offered by The National Golfer Club website includes 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast stay for 2 people at the resort, 3 rounds of golf and complimentary use of the health club, gym and swimming pools.  To enter simply answer the question online (Our advice – J. Hamilton Strutt) by midnight on 27th November 2014 for a chance of winning this awesome golfing break.

Happy weekend comping everyone, and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Hi Kirsty

It took me 17 years to win my first trip away. It was a mini break to Dublin with the Sunday People and I went with my husband in October - after spending the entire summer recovering from having my appendix out. It was a great trip, including breakfast and evening meals but Dublin is VERY expensive.
Since then I have also won several 2 night trips and used £100 Red Letter Day vouchers that I won for 1 nights B and B with my husband - in the county of Durham as it's not too far away.
I also won £1000 with That's Life magazine at the beginning of this year and put it towards a family trip to New York.
I am not very organised for Christmas - beyond buying some cards I haven't done anything this year yet. Last year I was far more organised and had everything sorted by the end of November and spent December comping - not really the advents though I did win a couple of things from those.
As well as the £1000, I won a trip that my mum and I will be taking to Nottingham at the beginning of next week - I had an incredible January. Wonder if I can repeat it................anyway, that was my strategy.
Not done much at all this week as suffering from chronic toothache (partly my own fault as I should have gone for a check up ages ago but that doesn't make it any better) - so have spent the week wrapped up in a blanket with a hot water bottle, part of my win from the Delicious magazine website, which has now moved over to Rafflecopter for their entries.
Also won a Docking Station from week 1 of the Asda Shades comp but I have no idea what that is.
Good luck with all your entries, Kirsty

Hi Kathryn
Good to hear from you. Wow you have had some lovely holiday wins, well done you! I live in hope then of winning something nice. I do keep entering, btu am limited to what I can enter as we have no relatives close by to look after the children, so I either need to win holidays near my parents on the Mainland, or family holidays lol.
Ouch I feel for you, I hate anything to do with teeth! I hope you are feeling better soon. I was convinced I needed another wisdom tooth out, but the dentist said it was fine recently - hurrah! Keep warm and do some nice comping to tae your mind off the pain!
Good luck with everything!
Kirsty xx
